Dear Sir / Dear Madam,

This web-site presents the diverse products, systems and services offered by Israeli companies and the unique range of innovative advanced technologies that are part of the country's industrial output.

This site also describes the comprehensive range of complimentary services provided by the Industrial Cooperation Authority (ICA) of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor to overseas companies seeking Israeli partners. In 2007 alone, as a result of ICA agreements, over 200 firms worldwide acquired nearly $3 billion worth of goods from more than 300 Israeli companies. Other overseas companies invested millions of dollars in Israeli industry, preferring to fulfill their Industrial Cooperation Undertakings in the form of investments.

The highly knowledgeable experts of the ICA have played a vital role in helping overseas companies consummate their Industrial Cooperation Undertakings in Israel by assisting them in identifying and finding local manufacturers with appropriate products and services.

In both the military and commercial sectors, Israel has developed Leading edge technological products. From electronics and electro-optics, communications, information technology, safety and security, biotechnology and medical equipment through to traditional sectors such as plastics and rubber, automotive equipment, metal, electrical and electro-mechanical equipment, Israeli products include the latest added value and cost effective systems. Sixty percent of Israeli exports are high-tech products and most of the country's traditional industries are based on advanced technologies.

Israel's competitive advantage is based on the academic excellence of its universities and colleges, which nurture highly educated personnel and emphasize R&D. At the same time Israeli industry encourages flexibility to meet individual customer's needs.

Export is the lifeblood of the country's industry. As part of Israel's commitment to international trade, the country has more Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) than any other nation and it is the only country with FTAs with the world's two largest trading blocks, the EU and NAFTA.

In tact, the need to fulfill an Industrial Cooperation Undertaking affords overseas companies a marvelous opportunity to benefit from Israel's unique technological developments.

Mr. Eliyahu Yishai
Deputy Prime Minister
Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor.
